1. Overview
MySpeedTest.in ("we", "us") provides a free network speed and latency testing service. This policy explains what limited information may be processed when you use the site.
2. What we process
- Public IP / ISP metadata — resolved first via Cloudflare edge headers / CDN trace, with optional enrichment from lightweight lookup APIs so we can show ISP and approximate location.
- Test traffic — download/upload bytes are sent to public CDN endpoints (e.g. Cloudflare). We do not store those payloads on MySpeedTest.in servers.
- Local history — previous results are saved in your browser's localStorage only. Clearing site data removes them.
- Contact emails — if you email us, we use your message only to reply.
3. What we do not do
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not require an account to run a speed test.
- We do not keep copies of upload blobs from the speed test.
- We do not use your test history for advertising profiles.
4. Third-party services
Speed tests use Cloudflare CDN infrastructure. IP lookup may use providers such as ipapi.co or ip-api.com. Those services have their own privacy policies governing requests made to them.
5. Cookies & local storage
We primarily use browser localStorage for your test history. Essential technical cookies may be used by the hosting platform. You can clear them anytime from your browser settings.
6. Data retention
Server-side IP lookups are transient request/response calls. Dashboard history remains on your device until you clear it or use the Clear button in Local History.
7. Children
The service is a general network tool. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
